jump into july

phew! i made it through June. i don't think mom and daddy could have taken me one more place! we did something every weekend and every Monday mama had off work. my July started out eventful though. Auntie Becky and mom said we were going to a farm for fruit. i didn't care much because it was fruit i couldn't have yet...cherries! (i can eat peaches, pears, apples, blueberries, mangoes, plums, prunes, bananas, but no cherries?) but, i went along for the ride anyway. they were lucky...there was something for me to do! a petting farm! that was neat. it was kind of like the zoo, but i could touch the animals if i wanted. well, i didn't, except for a baby bunny! i met this little girl, well actually three girls, who lived on the farm. the pigs were squealing and making pig noises so loud she came out of this little barn and told them to be quiet! she told us they were hungry because they were out of pig food! her daddy brought the food over a few minutes later and we got to watch her feed the pigs. she called one of them "Babe." i liked one of the goats. she kind of looked like a dog and i think she liked me. her name was "Karen."

they had a llama that didn't do anything but sit there and these birds called roosters that made this crazy noise really loud. mama said they were saying "cocka-doodle-doo." what in the world does that mean!? after a bit, the little girl asked if we wanted to see a baby bunny, so we said sure! she brought out this tiny little thing. he was white with red eyes and was so small...smaller than me and i'm a baby! she didn't name it yet. i wonder what his name is now.
