mama's day

grandmama took this of me and mom on her first mother's day. we made that a great day for her and grandmama. we spent the afternoon with grandmama and had lunch. daddy and i got mom a really neat ice cube tray that was shaped like diamonds! mama said she craved ice when she was pregnant with me, so we thought that was a cool present. i think that just meant she was thirsty and wanted something cold, but that's just me. we also got her this great glass paperweight that has a space to put a picture of me in it. that's for her to save for her first desk as a lawyer. i'm not sure what that is, but she says she'll help people, so i think that's cool. i hope i help people someday too. mama is going back to school next year so she can start being a lawyer. so, mama's first mother's day was great she said. i was good for her all day. she said that grandmama always used to just ask her and Auntie Becky to "be good" as their present. i made sure to do that!
