free night stay

when mama worked in indianapolis in july, she stayed so long that she earned a free night stay at another hotel! so, we spent the night downtown. we had so much fun! aunt shekini and uncle darryl game to our room to have a pizza party and watch the tigers game. aunt shekini and mama took me for a walk around the hotel and we just hung out all night long! daddy fell asleep early and mama and i stayed up late watching the "move it, move it" movie [madagascar] (that's me and "max the moose" hanging out in the huge, soft bed with all those pillows--it was fantastic--yes, i say fantastic...i like that word). we finally fell asleep, but i woke up in the middle of the night, so i turned the tv channel to a program that was all about animals. i put my pillows all on top of each other on the side of the bed, leaned back and put my feet on mom (yup, mom fell asleep with me in my bed!). mom woke up though and caught me with my hands behind my bed, just chillin' out and i guess i wasn't supposed to be up at 5 am watching tv (or maybe it was that i had my feet up on her?). so, everything was turned off...lights, tv, and mom made me lay back down to sleep more, bummer!

the next day (a few hours after that), we went for a walk for a bit and grabbed some breakfast, then hopped on the people mover! that was great! it took us all around downtown and we hung out on the riverwalk for a while until it was lunch time. we went back to the hotel and got our things and went to the art museum (the dia) and had lunch (we like their little cafe) and looked around the rest of the day. it was a great little getaway right in our own town!!
