more mondays mama!

aw, man! my mom's mondays off came to an end last week. we had great days at grandmama's house, a visit to great-grandmama, a trip to the zoo, lunch with friends, visits to mama's work, and lots of time shopping and bopping around town. these are pictures of my last monday at grandma's.

i'm crawling for real now...have been for a couple weeks. no more army crawl! i knew i could do it, i just had to pick up the speed first. i liked being able to go fast and i could go faster on my tummy at first, that's all.

i'm also eating a couple new things too. yogurt! i like it. i've had vanilla, banana, and pear flavors. i also eat turkey (i love it!) and chicken too. the chicken isn't new, but i eat a dinner that has lentils in it. i'm liking mama's homemade food better, but i still gag on some things. she got new applesauces from the healthy grocery store last week too. i've had one of them -- with apricots. the next one i get to try is with blackberries! mom says that's her favorite because grandma always had a blackberry patch in their backyard when mom was little.

labor day weekend wasn't too fun. mama, papa and i were all sick with colds! we stayed home all weekend, even for daddy's birthday. on labor day we did go to the park and played with auntie becky and grandmama for a little while. mom made papa a cake and they had it with ice cream. i got to swing and play on bouncy park toys (this crazy purple dinosaur -- he was kind of scary looking!) and mom took me down the slide. hee hee...i climbed back up the slide though! yup! i'm a pretty strong guy!

this week went on with a trip to the doctor. mama thought i might have an ear infection, but i'm okay. i wish i could tell her that! the doctor did say that my heart murmur is definitely there though and needs to be checked out. so, mama made me an appointment at the hospital for a test -- she said it won't hurt. she also made me an appointment with our family doctor for what she called a "second opinion." she said she and auntie becky have gone to this doctor since they were little, so i'm glad he's nice. papa goes to him now too. so, i guess he might be my new doctor after next week!

i turn 9 months old this weekend! i wonder what mama and papa have planned for me!! hee hee...oh, that's 1 year when i get party? darn! 3 months to go...
