great green fields

i went to greenfield village for the first time today! that place is pretty neat. mom and auntie becky took me. we ate lunch first because we got a late start to the day (okay, so i was up late again last night, slept only until 6:30 this morning and needed a nap...can a baby get a break?). after lunch we walked around and saw things like thomas edison's workshop. wow! did you know he had a goal of inventing 1 small thing every 10 days? and here i worry just about what's for dinner!

greenfield village is really big. there is a train that we took a trip on (it was my first train ride!) and a merry-go-round! that was my first time on that too! i got to go twice. the first time, i rode on the zebra. the second time, i got to ride on a big lion. it played this neat music as we went in a circle. i was pretty tired when we were on it though and i kept trying to put my head down. mom kept calling me silly. sheesh...you'd think she'd be happy i wanted to sleep considering all the complaining she's done this week about me not sleeping!

it was a really pretty day with blue skies and sunny all day. i think mama and auntie becky had fun too.
