echo...echo...? hello...hello...hello?

i got to go to the hospital today. well, not because of an emergency. i got to have pictures of my heart taken! they call it an "echocardiogram." that was so cool!! the worker that did the job was a cute old man. mama picked me up early from school and woke me from my nap. we even got there early. so the man took us back to this neat room. it had paintings of the ocean covering the lights on the ceiling and a matching night light where the fish kinda moved. he even had a tv on with dora on, but since i don't watch tv anyway, i didn't care about that. the thing that was cool was when he put the gooey stuff on my chest and then took pictures of my heart. sometimes he'd even record my heart beating. he'd say, "listen close cole," and you could hear this "whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh." it sounded like it did last year when i was still in mama! that was so cool. i didn't watch dora at all. i watched the other tv with my pictures on it. the man was so nice. he told mama that no baby ever is as good as i was. mama said she was so proud of me. she held my hands and kept kissing them telling how good i was being. i didn't even move. and then it was all done! it only took about 10 minutes. i was glad. that goop stuff was kinda weird feeling and you know me...i don't like sitting still. after we were done and ready to go, the man gave me a high five! i guess now we just wait to hear from dr. paul to see if anything needs fixing in my heart. i bet not. mom says probably not too.

mom made the day special for me too. after my tests, we went and saw nana #3 and mr. chip at the republican office! that was so cool. i even got to see the republican dog, trey. he's cute and brown. i think he likes me. then we went to grandmama's for a visit and then to the mall! mama and auntie becky ate dinner while i snacked on a cookie and drank my cup. i even got a kids menu to play with. after dinner mama went to the store and bought me my christmas outfit! i approved, of course. i have dark red corduroy overalls with baby penguins and snow on the bottom of the leg. the shirt is striped with a big baby penguin on the front. mom even got socks to match! she told me i just better now grow out of it by christmas. i bet not! it's only 11 weeks away. you bet i'm counting!! i get a big stocking from santa this year!!
