i got to hang out downtown this past weekend! yes, it was a busy weekend as always! i'm always going places and seeing new faces. i love it! on sunday morning we went down to the detroit riverwalk. it was so nice out. the sun was warm, but it was windy.

i got to see boats go by on the water and a really big boat mama called a ship. we walked up and down the riverwalk and then downtown. the buildings were really neat and i love to look at the water.

mama told me about how a long time ago people would cross that river in little boats to make new lives in detroit. she's always telling us about a long time ago. she calls it history. well, at least she doesn't read history books to me anymore. this time in school she reads to me about laws and boring stuff...oh yeah, i thought history was boring too. all her reading to me out of her books puts me to sleep...why can't we just read my "there's a wocket in my pocket?!"
