greenfield ghosts & goblins

at the start of halloween week, mama, papa and auntie becky took me to greenfield village. this trip there was super cool...it was creepy! it was really fun to dress up in my lion costume grandmama made, but it was even more fun to see all these crazy people all dressed up in different costumes. at thomas edison's lab, there was this mad scientist and this really smart guy who must have been his helper and they were telling all the people all about the freaky experiment -- mama said that's like trying something new -- they were doing. they were kinda funny and funny looking too! then there were these people making all these scary sounds. i wasn't scared though. it was hard to see in the dark and just the special lights and light from all the carved pumpkins, so i just kept trying hard to see who was making all the noise. when we were walking the pumpkin path, there were all these people dressed really neat -- some guy was even standing really, really tall -- mama said he was standing on "stilts" or big sticks...can you imagine?! -- and they gave me treats. i got an apple and candy and cookies and at the end of the path i even got a teddy bear dressed like a ghost! the night was really cold, but it was a good, fun night! i liked it a lot and can't wait til next year!
